Great Success at Open Evening Published on : 23 September 2021 / Categories: General We were delighted to welcome back Year 6 families into the school for our first open evening since 2019. We saw a record number of families through the doors. This was the first opportunity to showcase our completed internal build due to COVID-19. Our students did a brilliant job of being tour guides to show prospective students around the school. Staff from every department proudly showed off exactly what makes our school so special, with some brilliant interactive presentations and activities for families to get involved with. These included: In Maths, students were invited to take part in Sparx Maths sessions In Science, visitors could experiment using Bunsen burners or take part in our dissection lab In Art, everyone was invited to contribute to a giant piece of artwork on our doodle table In Performing Arts, guests were treated to musical performances Skye in Y9 and got snap happy in our photobooth In English, staff hosted sessions using Learning By Questions and Seneca Learning In PE, students demonstrated their trampolining skills, while families could face off in penalty shoot off. Miss Palmer, Head Teacher said: It has been absolutely wonderful to invite the community back into our school after so long and to showcase the improvements to our internal build.
