Launching ‘Spotlight’: Celebrating Student Achievements

Today we proudly launched ‘Spotlight’, our brand-new student rewards initiative designed to celebrate achievement and talent both inside and outside the classroom. The concept is simple yet powerful: students are invited to the stage in the Hall at lunchtime to share a piece of work or a personal accomplishment they are proud of with a member of our Senior Leadership Team.

The first Spotlight session was a huge success, with an impressive number of students queuing to take part. We were thrilled to see such enthusiasm and to learn more about the incredible hobbies, interests, and achievements our students pursue beyond school life. Alongside these personal stories, we also saw some outstanding pieces of academic work that truly showcased the effort and creativity of our learners.

Every student who takes part in Spotlight receives a prize as a reward for their effort and courage in sharing their achievements. This initiative is all about recognising and valuing every success, whether it’s a fantastic piece of coursework, a sporting achievement, or a creative project. It gives students the chance to shine and be celebrated in front of their peers.

We encourage all students to come along and take part in Spotlight Wednesday in the Hall. Whether you want to share something you’ve worked hard on or tell us about an accomplishment you’re proud of, this is your moment to step into the spotlight!
