Exam Information

Our aim at The Hyndburn Academy is to make examinations as successful as possible for all candidates.  

If you have any questions or worries about your exams, or any exam that your son or daughter is sitting, please contact the Exams Officer at admin@nthehyndburnacademy.org.uk 

Formal examinations are subject to a strict set of procedures. Public timetabled exams are conducted on the same date and time nationally, so cannot be moved. If a student is unable to attend an exam, the school should be contacted as a matter of urgency. Student timetables for the summer exam season are normally distributed after the Easter break, but dates can be found on the exam board websites.    

All students are expected to comply with the regulations in order to avoid disqualification from the exam. Students should read these documents before entering their exam. Please click on the links below to see documents that provide Information for candidates. 

As a centre we are obliged to comply with regulations put in place by the Joint Council for Qualifications. Please see our complaints and appeals policy, regarding our centre’s delivery and administration of a qualification and also our internal appeals procedure.
