Our Open Evening on 21st September gave Year 6 students and their families the opportunity to explore the academy, meet our staff and students, and discover what life at The Hyndburn Academy has to offer.
It was wonderful to see the academy so well attended, with a real sense of curiosity and enthusiasm throughout the building.
Families were free to explore the academy, with our student leaders on hand to lead tours and share their own experiences of school life.
There was plenty to see and get involved with throughout the evening, including:
- A spectacular Chemistry show that truly blew the roof off
- Languages games and challenges
- Performances in Music and Drama
- Our Department Detectives competition, where Year 6 visitors solved clues around departments for the chance to win one of three £50 vouchers
- Presentation from our Principal, Mr Wazir along with our Head Boy and Head Girl
- Opportunities to find out about our rewards, our house system, enrichment programme and wider academy life
Mr Wazir, Principal said:
A huge thank you goes to all the students and staff who helped make the evening such a success, and to every family who took the time to visit us.
If you missed Open Evening and would like to visit us, please contact the Academy.
