Our school community came together to support Macmillan Cancer Support, raising an incredible £300 through our recent Macmillan Coffee Morning and in-school cake sale.
We welcomed parents, carers and members of the local community to join us for our coffee morning, providing an opportunity to enjoy a hot drink, share a slice of cake and support an important cause. Alongside this, students and staff took part in an in-school cake sale, helping to raise further funds.
The events were a wonderful opportunity to bring our school community together and show our support for people affected by cancer. Every donation and every slice of cake helped contribute to the fantastic total of £300.
Mr Boyden, our Director of Education with Character, said:
“It is wonderful to see our school community come together to support such an important cause. Raising £300 for Macmillan Cancer Support demonstrates the kindness, compassion and generosity of our students, staff, parents and carers. These events are a great example of Education with Character in action, encouraging our young people to think of others and make a positive difference in the wider community.”
We are incredibly proud of the generosity shown by our students, staff, parents, carers and local community. Their support demonstrates the importance of kindness, compassion and working together to make a positive difference to others.
A huge thank you to everyone who donated, baked, bought cakes or took the time to attend our coffee morning. Your generosity helped make the events a success, and we are delighted to have raised £300 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Together, we have made a difference!
