Today we were proud to welcome the Message Trust No More County Lines Tour into the Academy, alongside officers from Lancashire Police and members of the band OTC. Together they delivered a powerful and engaging session to our students focused on making safe choices and understanding the risks linked to county lines.
Through energetic performances and honest conversations, the team truly raised the roof. The atmosphere in the room was electric, but the most important part of the event was the powerful message shared with our students about looking out for one another, staying safe and making positive decisions.
The presentation combined music, storytelling and real-life experiences to help students understand the dangers associated with county lines activity and the importance of seeking help and support when needed. It was an impactful session that encouraged thoughtful discussion and reflection among our young people.
One student said:
“It was really powerful to hear real stories and understand how important the choices we make are. The performance made the message really clear and it definitely made me think.”
Principal Mr Wazir added:
“We are incredibly grateful to the Message Trust team and Lancashire Police for bringing this important message into our school. Educating young people about the risks associated with county lines is vital, and today’s presentation delivered that message in a way that was engaging, memorable and meaningful for our students.”
We would like to thank the Message Trust, Lancashire Police and the OTC for inspiring, educating and empowering our students through such an important and impactful event.
