Students Develop Skills and Confidence at Clayton Amateur Boxing Club

A group of our students have begun a 10-week boxing programme at Clayton Amateur Boxing Club, taking part in weekly sessions designed to develop their skills, confidence and personal discipline.

The programme provides students with the opportunity to experience a new challenge outside the classroom, learn from experienced coaches and develop important life skills through sport.

The sessions strongly reflect our school values of Respect, Confidence and Aspiration. Students are learning the importance of respecting others, listening to instructions and demonstrating self-discipline, while building confidence as they develop new skills and challenge themselves to improve.

Youth Support Worker Mr Ashton said:

“This programme is a fantastic opportunity for our students to challenge themselves, build their confidence and develop important life skills. Boxing teaches discipline, respect and resilience, and I hope the students will carry these qualities into their everyday lives, both in school and beyond.”

The programme also supports our commitment to Education With Character, helping students develop resilience, perseverance and a positive attitude towards learning. By committing to the full 10 weeks, students are encouraged to set goals, work hard and recognise the value of dedication and personal progress.

This initiative provides enriching experiences that broaden students' horizons and help them develop into well-rounded young people.

We look forward to following the students' progress throughout the programme and seeing them continue to demonstrate our values both in and out of school.

We would like to thank Clayton Amateur Boxing Club for providing this valuable opportunity for our students.
