Year 9 Marsden Heights students took part in an exciting Tech Challenge Day at The Landmark, Burnley, working alongside students from The Hyndburn Academy. The event offered a workplace experience that introduced them to real challenges from the digital and cyber sector.
Delivered in partnership with local SME tech employers, the day gave students a valuable insight into how technology is used to solve real-world business problems.
During the challenge, students worked in teams on a real business brief, developing creative and practical digital solutions.
They had the opportunity to engage directly with employers, build teamwork and communication skills, and prepare and deliver a final team presentation, receiving professional feedback on their ideas.
Students also worked alongside others from Hyndburn Academy, supported by an employer, to design a digital solution linked to school life, such as improving communication, timetables or homework systems.
The day was an inspiring experience that helped students develop confidence, creativity and a clearer understanding of future careers in the tech industry.
