Year 9 students from The Hyndburn Academy recently attended an exciting event at Blackburn College, hosted by the Public Services department. This event provided students with a unique opportunity to explore the roles and responsibilities within the Uniformed Services through a range of engaging activities.
Led by professionals from the Royal British Legion, Lancashire Constabulary, Armed Forces, and Royal Navy, the students participated in hands-on experiences that offered a fascinating look into potential career paths in public service. They learned about the various duties and challenges faced by individuals in these roles, gaining valuable insights into the skills and dedication required to serve the community.
The event was designed to inspire and inform students about the diverse opportunities available in public service careers. By interacting with representatives from different uniformed services, the students were able to ask questions, receive guidance, and envision themselves in these impactful roles.
This enriching experience not only broadened the students' understanding of public service careers but also motivated them to consider these paths as viable and rewarding options for their future. We are proud of our Year 9 students for their enthusiasm and engagement during this event, and we look forward to supporting them as they explore their career aspirations.
