BBC's Jasmine Payne delivers Acting Workshop to Hyndburn Academy Students Published on : 24 February 2022 / Categories: General On Thursday 24th February, students enjoyed an Acting Workshop delivered by Jasmine Payne. Jasmine has most recently been seen as ‘Queenie’ in Channel 4’s Ackley Bridge. She has also played ‘Katie’ in CBBC’s 4 O’clock Club and ‘Katy’ in BBC’s Jimmy McGovern’s Moving On. Jasmine delivered a 4-hour long workshop that included a scripted practical exploration looking at Stanislavski's given circumstances and objectives. Students were exposed to technical terminology, Director feedback, and given performance opportunities. This then followed a 20-minute Q & A session led by the students. This part particularly fascinated the students and was informative for them. They felt comfortable approaching Jasmine with questions about her career and experiences. A student commented "It was so nice to hear it from someone in the industry! It made me think of all the other jobs that happen backstage that I had no idea about!"
