Exciting Day on the Water: Students Dive Back into Rowing with Enthusiasm

Published on : 07 November 2023 / Categories: General

In a thrilling return to the water, our students had a remarkable day as they embarked on a rowing adventure, marking their first time back on the water in weeks. For two of our girls, this was an entirely new and exhilarating experience.

The day began with a refresher on the basics, as the students learned or recapped how to prepare the boats for their aquatic journey. This included attaching their oars and securing their feet into the strapped trainers, setting the stage for a day of learning and teamwork.

The boys wasted no time and swiftly rowed to a significant distance, stretching their limits all the way to the second bridge and back. Their determination and dedication were clearly evident in the water.

For the girls, the experience was slightly more challenging. As they navigated the water, the wind picked up, adding an extra layer of complexity to their rowing. In fact, they encountered a few bumps along the way and even got temporarily stuck on the ramp. Nevertheless, this proved to be a valuable learning experience for them, providing an opportunity for them to adapt and gain a true sense of being on the water.

Post-rowing, it was time to tend to the equipment. The students diligently cleaned the boats and stowed away all the gear, displaying great responsibility and teamwork.

To wrap up this exciting day, the students headed indoors to warm up and continued their training on the indoor rowing machines, showcasing their unwavering commitment to the sport.

This remarkable day on the water demonstrated the students' resilience, determination, and passion for rowing. It is a testament to their dedication to this sport and their desire to improve. We look forward to seeing them achieve new heights in the world of rowing as they continue to hone their skills on the water. Stay tuned for more updates on their rowing adventures!
