We are thrilled to share some exciting news from our rowing squad! Our team has expanded and now boasts a squad of 10, comprising 6 talented boys and 4 incredible girls. 🌟

Upcoming Indoor Rowing Competition - January Showdown

The top 4 boys and 4 girls will proudly represent our school at the highly anticipated indoor rowing competition scheduled for January. The competition promises to be a thrilling showcase of talent and determination, with a series of exciting challenges.

Race for Distance - A 3-Minute Battle

In the first challenge, our rowers will go head-to-head in a 3-minute race to determine who can cover the greatest distance. Speed, power, and endurance will be put to the test as they vie for supremacy.

Team Relay - 2000m Challenge

But that's not all! The second challenge is a gripping team relay, where the squad must row a collective distance of 2000 meters. Each member will take turns rowing approximately 250 meters before smoothly transitioning to their teammate. This challenge isn't just about power; it's about precision and teamwork.

Girls vs. Boys - A Close Practice Session

In a recent practice session, the girls proved their mettle, staying just 40 meters behind the boys. The secret to their success? Exceptional transitions! It's an incredible achievement, especially considering this was their first attempt.

A Journey of Improvement

We are eagerly looking forward to seeing how our talented rowers continue to improve and develop their skills as they prepare for the upcoming competition. The dedication and hard work they put into their training are sure to pay off!

A Special Encounter with Inspiration

Our rowing squad had the privilege of meeting and engaging in a conversation with Greg Stevenson, a member of the GB para-rowing team. Greg's life has been transformed by his dedication to rowing, and we hope that his inspiring story leaves a lasting impact on our students.
